The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in Watton

The Queens Diamond Jubilee was celebrated in Watton at the Watton Church Street Party on Tuesday 5th June 2012.

The Preparations - There was a lot to do in setting everything up and getting ready.
What happened on the day - so much to do and to see
The Westfield Infant and Nursery School Winners.
The Watton Army Cadet Force - had a display and manned the first aid post
The Watton Air Cadets - the band paraded and played
Watton's Got Talent - Surely this is a statement of fact!
Energy for the day came in the from of cakes and hogroast
Craft Stalls - there was a rich variety of craft stalls which proved very popular
The Wayland Players - performed a peice from the goon show on the openair stage
The Sponsors who made everything possible

We also need to note people's comments of appreciation of the Watton Pentecostal Church who hosted the day. A souvenir brochure was produced on the day.

The day was a great sucess with lots of fun and many competitions. It was a great joy to see people collecting their prizes, which were donated by business in the town, on the day of the town carnival.
